What Customers Say About Tales of Vesperia Signature Series Guide (Bradygames Signature):

In summary, find any online walkthrough, download it and follow it. This is the one guide that inspired me never to buy a strategy guide again. It will serve you better than this guide. After playing a bit into the game using the strategy guide I looked at an online walkthrough and found that I had missed an absurd amount of quests that could not be completed later due to the incompleteness of this guide. This guide is completely lacking when it comes to guides for the titles and also in guiding for many of the side quests. The lack of maps removes any advantage it might have over walkthroughs. The only thing I use this guide for is looking at enemy drops because it's quicker than scrolling through a walkthrough.

If you are familiar with the Tales of Series, then you are familiar with certain aspects of the Game, such as the Title system, and the Arte system. a guide is supposed to contain ALL that stuff. If you don't care about extra artes and costume changing titles, and just extra side quests as a whole, then the guide might be for you. But again the guide is lacking, it does not tell you what levels you learn the artes, and it also doesn't tell you how to get the 'secret' artes you learn from certain sidequest events. This guide was good as far as a walkthrough goes, but that was all.

My biggest disappointment with this guide was the lack of walkthrough for the extra content. that is the major reason i avoid F.A.Q.s is because the massive walls of text. This guide provides a great walkthrough, however has no dungeon maps for one, which isn't a huge loss.

If i wanted any sidequest or extra information i was forced to walk downstairs to get on my PC and look at an F.A.Q. For each character you have a list of their titles, but it does not tell you how to acquire those titles which is frustrating when you trying to get a certain one, then realize you missed out on it, because the guide never includes how to get this title. It does the same thing with Artes, it lists all the arts which is nice, it also lists all the altered artes and what skills you need on a weapon to turn an arte into its altered variation which is again helpful.

A guide is supposed to be a replacement for a F.A.Q. But if your looking for a guide that contains everything you need, then this is not what you looking for.

The product has lots of useful information but we did have a few questions that were not answered in the book so we went to a walkthrough and found them. One problem that we had was that the first copy of this Guide that we received was missing 63 pages due to a manufacturing error. However, the seller we dealt with was kind enough to exchange it for us.

No matter what the case - for a completionist like me, I find this absence of content disappointing. Furthermore there is barely any information on the different cut scenes that helps to flesh out your party's personality and history.

I buy guides in order to help me accomplish my goal of getting EVERYTHING. I'm a completionist when it comes to RPG games.

I found the Extras section of the guide lacking in detail about the different side quests and how to complete them. This Signature guide has a great storyline walk through and contains the standard character bio/skills and monster guide.

However, what this guide lacks is side quest coverage that is essential to complete 100% of the game. It seems to me that this guide was either rushed to production or the Bradygames Staff based this guide off of a beta copy of the game that did not include all of the side quests or skits.

Don't get me wrong, this guide will help you get to the end of the game, but you'll miss out on the extra stuff along the way.

I always find that maps are always better when it comes to locating things in towns and dungeons. Overall this guide is good but it would have been so much better if it Included maps of the area you visit. The Written details just dont hack it sometimes. And all of the side quest info is incomplete, and the details are wrong some times. I had to go online and look threw a few sites to finally understand the quest for the fell arms, let alone everything else.
